Our selective and scholarship programs align with ACER, EduTest, ICAS and AAS exam structures.

Selective (ACER) SEHS
  • Reasoning - Reading: analyse multiple texts, locate details, make inferences, understand author's intention, and apply reasoning.

  • Reasoning - Mathematics: using number, algebra, geometry, measurement, data and problem solving in different contexts, multi-step questions with numerical reasoning.

  • General ability - Verbal: analogies, word patterns, vocabulary logic, and language relationships. Fast pattern recognition and understanding vocabulary.

  • General ability - Quantitative: Recognise numerical patterns and sequences, apply logical number reasoning, interpret patterns, data and relationships.

  • Persuasive Writing: Construct a clear, structured argument on a given topic, use evidence and reasoning to support your view, communicate ideas with clarity, use persuasive language, coherence, and know audience.

  • Creative Writing: Write engaging responses to prompt, use narrative structure, use vivid language and expression, show creativity and be coherent.
